一、Nature of Narration
1）Every narrative writing has a theme.
2）In a narrative writing, events are usually related chronologically.
3）A narrative writing normally tells a story by giving the information of the time (when), the people involved (who), the place in which the story takes place (where), the event that occurs (what), the reason for the happening (why), and the process or the evolution of the event (how), with the episode itself (what) in the core.
二、Guidelines for Effective Narration
1）In writing a narrative, the writer has to select details carefully.
2）Show as well as tell.
3）The choice of the point of view is another important factor a writer has to take into consideration in narrating a story.
